How do I change a tax code?

The PAYE tax code is provided by HMRC to the employer or pension provider to work out how much tax to take from each pay period. This should mean the correct amount of tax is collected throughout the year.
To amend a clients’ account with some of HMRC’s tax calculation summary figures, you can:
- Within the Individual Tax Return, click on the Tax Calculation Summary (SA110) tab
- Enter the relevant figures to the correct boxes
