What does “Details to be checked on roll forward” mean?

The “Details to be checked on roll forward” error indicates that you have not reviewed the details that are rolled forward into the tax return from the previous year’s return.

To review the details:

• Individual Tax Return (SA100)
  • In the Individual Tax Return Summary screen, click into the first supplementary schedule rolled forward by clicking the arrow next to the schedule
  • To review the entries, open each item, then Save & Close
  • Go to the Tax Return (SA100) tab
  • Click into each tab under this section to review all boxes with a red arrow to its side
  • Click the red arrow to open the entry
  • Review the entries, then Save & Close
  • Go to the Tax Calculation Summary (SA110)
  • Repeat the process of opening, reviewing, and saving each entry
• Partnership Tax Return (SA800)
  • In the Partnership Tax Return Summary screen, select the Trade under Partnership Trade or Income Source
  • Click on Amend
  • In the Partnership Statement (i) screen, click each arrow for each schedule
  • Review the entries, then Save & Close
  • Go to Partnership Statement (ii)
  • Double-click on each of the partners
  • Click Save & Close on each of the partner windows
  • Then, click Save & Close on the Partnership Statement screen
  • Return to the Partnership Tax Return Summary screen, and Check Return
• Trust Tax Return (SA900)
  • In the Trust Tax Return Summary screen, select each supplementary schedule by clicking the arrow next to the schedules
  • To review the entries, open each item, then Save & Close
  • Go to the Trust Estate (SA900) tab
  • Click into each tab under this section to review all boxes with a red arrow to its side
  • Click the red arrow to open the entry
  • Review the entries, then Save & Close
