How to submit amended accounts to Companies House

Important: If the submission of your accounts has been ACCEPTED then Companies House require a paper submission for the amended accounts. You should contact Companies House to check that you are able to submit the amended accounts.

If the original submission was rejected, you can amend the accounts by posting the amended accounts on paper to Companies House:

• The amended accounts must be for the same period as the original submission
• The word “amended” must be clearly displayed on the front of the accounts to avoid rejection as duplicates
• The accounts must clearly state that:
  • They replace the original accounts
  • They are now the statutory accounts
• They must be prepared as they were at the date of the original accounts
• The amended accounts must be signed by a company director
