Once again HMRC has singled out BTCSoftware to help it road-test the technology and infrastructure for its Making Tax Digital roll-out programme.
Making Tax Digital APIs
Following on from our successful testing of its Marriage Allowance Transfer API in the Self-Assessment return, HMRC returned asking for help with the NICs (National Insurance Contributions) API.
We worked closely with HMRC’s digital team using our already NIC API enabled Self-Assessment software to trial the API. As before, the testing was done in a secure environment with the BTCSoftware and HMRC Developers working closely together. HMRC continues to need the help of third-party software providers to make its Making Tax Digital initiative come to fruition and we were happy to help.
Once again the testing has proved successful and the digital team at HMRC are delighted with the results.
Commenting on the collaboration, BTCSoftware CEO Rob Ellis, said, “We were delighted HMRC contacted us again for help testing the application with third-party software. It means our Self-Assessment software continues to be fully compliant with the Making Tax Digital APIs.”
He adds, “We will continue to support HMRC’s digital team in the rollout of Making Tax Digital. We look forward to enabling them to speed up the launch of the APIs so vital to the success of the programme.”
